Mod 0 Reflections

Remote Collaboration Reflection

You've now experienced several remote classes in Mod 0. We want you to take some time to reflect on the following questions.

  1. Reflect on your experience in Breakout Rooms - how well did you engage with other students in your group? Did you notice times when you may have talked over other students? Were there times others talked over you?
  • I feel like the breakout room times were used very effectively. I noticed I tended to lead the coversation in the groups. Everyone seemed very respectful of eachother's time and when it was their chance to speak.
  1. Reflect on your experiences communicating via Slack - what has been challenging about this format of communcation? What wins have you experienced so far with using Slack as a communication tool?
  • I've noticed how quick people are to respond via Slack which has been very helpful. Overall, I've had 90% wins on Slack. My only beef with Slack is my issue of responding to others' questions right away.

Time Management Reflection

Pull up the calendar you created for Mod 0 and use it to reflect on the following questions.

  1. How well have you stuck to the schedule/calendar you created? What has worked well so far?
  • I stuck to the Calendar I mad for Mod0 about 85% of the time! I tend to move around different events through out the day or even the following day depending on how im doing with all my tasks, sometime modifications must be made! Definitely scheduling out blocks for studying and adding in breaks to those times have been the most helpful.
  1. What areas of your calendar need to be adjusted for the remainder of Mod 0? What lessons have you learned that will help you in Mod 1 as it relates to time management?
  • My biggest area that needs work is more on me, just waking up early enough to get a jump on the day to follow my schedule. One lesson I'm taking to Mod1 is the study blocks ive made for myself, also putting in blocks to go on walks.
  1. How is your overall progress in completing the Mod 1 Prework?
  • I've completed the professional dev portion. I plan to finish the Gear up portion today and start chiseling away on the technical portion tonight!
