| You will work in an Agile development team and collaborate with academic and non-technical stakeholders. You will be involved in a wide range of projects including implementing a new Archives Management system, building the next generation Digital Library, creating a new Search and Discovery platform and establishing new Digital Preservation capabilities. | |
| You will be working with: | |
| OO languages including Python, Java, Ruby, JavaScript | |
| Frameworks such as Django & Rails | |
| DevOps on Linux with AWS, Puppet, Ansible, Docker & Vagrant | |
| Search engines including Elastic & SOLR | |
| XML and JSON formats, XSLT | |
| Databases including PostgreSQL and MySQL | |
| Development tools including Jira & git | |
| Automated testing practices and tools | |
| Desirable: | |
| Experience of working with academic research projects particularly in Digital Humanities | |
| Exposure to/understanding of Archive Management and Digital Preservation | |
| Knowledge of Library/Archive metadata standards such as EAD | |
