The thought from the video that resonated the most with me was, "Everything you think about your user is questionable.". There are more than seven billion people on the Earth and each one is unique. That is why it is important to have many voices included in your projects. If you have only one race or only one gender on your project, then your project will not represent your users. Even projects that we may think only apply to a select demographic will be wrong as there will be users outside that demographic who will want to use your product.

I have spent a lot of time thinking about bias. In my previous job, I worked at a non-profit working in HIV prevention. When one thinks of HIV, one idea they might have is only gay men are affected.
