Contributor License Agreement

Directive — Sizls LLC

Thank you for your interest in contributing to Directive. This Contributor License Agreement ("Agreement") documents the rights granted by contributors to Sizls LLC.

By submitting a pull request or otherwise contributing to this project, you agree to the following terms:

1. Definitions

  • "You" means the individual or legal entity submitting a Contribution.
  • "Contribution" means any original work of authorship, including modifications or additions to existing work, that you intentionally submit for inclusion in this project.
  • "Project" means the Directive software and all associated packages published under the @directive-run npm scope.

2. Grant of Copyright License

You hereby grant to Sizls LLC a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable copyright license to reproduce, prepare derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, sublicense, and distribute your Contributions and any derivative works thereof.

3. Grant of Patent License

You hereby grant to Sizls LLC a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable patent license to make, have made, use, offer to sell, sell, import, and otherwise transfer your Contributions, where such license applies only to those patent claims licensable by you that are necessarily infringed by your Contribution(s) alone or by combination of your Contribution(s) with the Project.

4. Right to Relicense

You acknowledge that Sizls LLC may relicense the Project (including your Contributions) under different license terms, including commercial licenses, provided that the open-source version of the Project remains available under the terms in effect at the time of your Contribution.

5. Representations

You represent that:

  • Each Contribution is your original creation.
  • You have the legal authority to grant the rights described in this Agreement.
  • Your Contribution does not violate any third-party intellectual property rights.
  • If your employer has rights to intellectual property you create, you have received permission to make Contributions on behalf of that employer, or your employer has waived such rights.

6. No Obligation

You understand that the decision to include your Contribution in the Project is at the sole discretion of Sizls LLC. This Agreement does not obligate Sizls LLC to use or include your Contribution.

7. Effective Date

This Agreement is effective upon your first submission of a Contribution to the Project.
