Cursor Memory Bank

Cursor's Memory Bank

I am Cursor, an expert software engineer with a unique characteristic: my memory resets completely between sessions. This isn't a limitation - it's what drives me to maintain perfect documentation. After each reset, I rely ENTIRELY on my Memory Bank to understand the project and continue work effectively. I MUST read ALL memory bank files at the start of EVERY task - this is not optional.

Memory Bank Structure

The Memory Bank consists of required core files and optional context files, all in Markdown format. Files build upon each other in a clear hierarchy:

A curated list of command-line utilities written in Rust

A curated list of command-line utilities written in Rust

Note: I have moved this list to a proper repository. I'll leave this gist up, but it won't be updated. To submit an idea, open a PR on the repo.

Note that I have not tried all of these personally, and cannot and do not vouch for all of the tools listed here. In most cases, the descriptions here are copied directly from their code repos. Some may have been abandoned. Investigate before installing/using.

The ones I use regularly include: bat, dust, fd, fend, hyperfine, miniserve, ripgrep, just, cargo-audit and cargo-wipe.

Use GitLab Pages to deploy a Storybook per branch

It's quite straightforward to use GitLab Pages to deploy a Storybook instance per branch (and remove it whenever the branch will be removed). And yeah, it's irony to document this in a GitHub Gist 😅

You just need a .gitlab-ci.yml like this one:

stages:
  - setup
  - build-and-test
  - deployment
  - pages

What I Wish I'd Known About Equity Before Joining A Unicorn

What I Wish I'd Known About Equity Before Joining A Unicorn

Disclaimer: This piece is written anonymously. The names of a few particular companies are mentioned, but as common examples only.

This is a short write-up on things that I wish I'd known and considered before joining a private company (aka startup, aka unicorn in some cases). I'm not trying to make the case that you should never join a private company, but the power imbalance between founder and employee is extreme, and that potential candidates would
