HoN: Reborn on MacOS (Sikarugir)

Setup Sikarugir

Follow Installation

https://github.com/Sikarugir-App/Sikarugir

Create wrapper

Download latest Wine Sikarugir engine (WSxxWineSikarugirxx.x)
Click update wrapper
Create blank wrapper, name it HonReborn
Click view wrapper in finder and open it

Install C++ runtime

Click winetricks
Click checkbox under dll named vcrun2022
Click run and let it finish

Enable d3d

Under dlls check

d3dcompiler_47
d3dx11_43
Click run and let it finish

Add override for d3dcompiler_47

Go to tools and open winecfg
Click library tab
Select d3dcompiler_47 and modify it to (original, native)
Save

And then click run

HoN: Reborn

Install HoN: Reborn

Select DXVK
Click install software and select juvio setup (It will fail the first time if you need to grant access, just try again)
Login and let it download hon

Running HoN: Reborn

Set the Windows app: path to C:\users\Sikarugir\AppData\Local\Juvio\bin\juvio.exe if it is not already set
Click test run to make sure it works, otherwise start via the executable added to Applications
If you want to make changes you can repoen the Configure.app at a later stage by clicking show package contents on HonReborn

Performance

Base M4 Pro 16" ~ 115fps

If there is an update to reborn, you will need to start it multiple times as auto-restart doesn't automatically get triggered.

The installation works, but I have never been able to play, always stuck on the loading page after waiting on the queue.

Doesn't work for me either unfortunately (M1 Macbook Air). Installation works, but I also get stuck on "Loading" into a game.

Some time in the last two months hon broke with wine 9. Changing the engine to the latest Sikarugir engine (WS12WineSikarugir10.0_2) which uses Wine 10 solves the issue. Also this is not a support channel, I'm just writing down what works for me.

Thank you for this. The only installation method that works outside of parallels, I tried replicating exact same settings on crossover etc they all do not work where this method installs/runs flawlessly. However the issue i have is in ranked matches where i get kicked after ~30 secs saying the files are modded. If anyone has any input or managed to play ranked I would appreciate the input.

@Xavi3RElvis I have had this occasionally. I think that could be a bug in reborn itself though. Regardless haven't really debugged it as it only seems to happen once after a new patch.
