- There should be a tool stock with visual kanban to alert operators to request re-stocking
- Designated place for empty boxes (of mounted tools) needed, so operators can return tools to correct boxes (when unmounting)
- Tools in use should not be stored with new-stock
- Tools in use should be easy to identify, must be marked white and separated from new-stock
- Tools no longer fit to cut original material must be marked red if possible to be repourposed
- Tools no longer fit to cut any material must be marked black and if re-sharpable placed in the "re-sharpen box"
- Tools that cannot be resharpen or are broken can be kept as precision location pins or sent for recycle

Endmills should never be stored rubbing on others without a box or protective cover asn this will increase the reisk of nocking edges and damaging the cutting edge of the endmills
For the cases where there are toolsets tat are being used for a work, cone tags can be used to ensure that those cones and tools are reserved for a giver work
