LittleBigPlanet 2 on RPCS3 (with All DLCs and Refresher/Bonsai)

1. Game

  1. Go to Archive.org, download the torrent file, and start downloading it NO LONGER AVAILABLE
  2. This will download the game in .iso format and all the needed Updates for it (except for Update 1.13, because it's corrupted)
  3. Go to AldosTools, write BCUS98245 in the search box, and download the Update 1.13 (this is the only update you will need to download manually)
  4. Once the Update 1.13 is downloaded, copy it to the other updates (overwriting the existing corrupted one)

2. Decrypt the Game

  1. Download ps3-disc-dumper and extract it
  2. Mount the LittleBigPlanet 2 .iso file (on Windows you can just double-click it)
  3. PS3 Disc Dumper will automatically detect the mounted .iso and will show it in the list
  4. Wait for "Looking for a disc key" and then hit big "Start" button

3. Applying Updates

  1. In RPCS3, go to File > Add Games and select the decrypted folder of the PS3 Disc Dumper
  2. Now the game will appear inside RPCS3 as v01.00
  3. Select all the downloaded updates and drag and drop them into RPCS3 to install them (make sure they are in the correct order)
  4. After installing all the updates, the game will have the version 1.33
  5. Boot the game, let it completely load (you should see "Optimizing Patches" and/or "Installing Game Data" screen), when you are at "Selecting Screen Area" screen you can exit the game (IF YOU DON'T DO THIS, YOU WILL HAVE RPCS3 "Filesystem mounting failed" error problem)

4. Refresher/Bonsai

  1. Download Refresher/Bonsai and extract it
  2. Open it and select "Patch LBP1/2/3 for RPCS3" option
  3. Select the RPCS3 dev_hdd0 folder
  4. Select the "LittleBigPlanet 2 [BCUS98245 01.33]" game
  5. Write 'r' in "Server URL" field and hit "AutoDiscover" button, you should then see "AutoDiscover [Connected to Bonsai (Refresh)]"
  6. Hit "Patch!" button

5. Applying DLCs

  1. Download BCUS98245_DLC_1_2023.pkg
  2. Drag and drop the downloaded DLC into RPCS3 to install it
  3. Download BCUS98245_DLC_2_2023.pkg
  4. Drag and drop the downloaded DLC into RPCS3 to install it
  5. WARNING!!! Game will "revert" to version v01.00 after installing DLCs, you can totally ignore that (game will still be on version 01.33, but RPCS3 will show it as 01.00)

6. Enjoy!

for anyone looking like me, if you use a CFW PS3 and you have the digital download version of LBP2 (same BCUS98245 ID) you can also install the DLC .pkg files via webMAN to unlock all the DLC items with no issue! just tested it out and it worked fine

I'm looking for the UK version, do you know where i can find it?

I dont really know
just use whatever they use in this thread
The UK version is technically the EU version but it would just be effort looking for that version
If you want, the EU version and DLCs are on nopaystation.com, and updates on aldostools
but I dont think the region codes make a difference, you just need to make sure the dlcs and updates match it

BCES01086 is the UK version
BCES00850 is the EU version
but they both have EU region code
