- Opt-out of Google search history tracking * Make sure you clear your history as well.

- If you use G+ (Google+) opt out of the shared endorsements
- Ad opt-outs * Edit the top two options to say 'no one', and then click the link of the third option. Click the opt-out button on the page it brings you to.
- Browse the internet with Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome (or better yet, Aviator ... a security-focused spin off of Chrome)
- Use "Incognito" or "Private Browsing" mode. This automatically flushes your search history and cookies when you close the browser.
- Install the "Disconnect" plugin for Firefox or Chrome. It helps block trackers everywhere. :)
