Welcome to the EpiMine server !
Here are the rules one must apply at any moment when playing on the Minecraft server as well when talking in the Discord server. Not fullfiling those rules will lead to sanctions such as temporary ban or even a definitive ban from both servers. The decision of sanctions is at the discretion of the staff. EpiMine is not affiliated in any way with EPITA and is only lead by students.
The server is restricted to 2026 students and members of the Staff. The verification of this condition is made by an authentification using the CRI credentials. Only your current membership to the 2026 promotion will be checked and no other data will be used. Using the credentials of someone else to log into the server will result in a definitive ban.
Attempting to do staff job in threatening to punish players for breaking the rules is not allowed. Neither arguing against any decision made by a staff member regarding enforcement of the rules in any public channel. If you disagree, please contact that staff member privately to resolve the issue.
Spamming is filling chat with multiple unneeded characters or messages. Do not do it. This rule also applies to spamming commands that don't necessarily show up in chat (whether it be manually or via powertool) or shouting, other chat functions or purchasing lottery tickets to the extent of making chat hard to read.
Cheating in any form is not allowed. Anything that is considered to give you an unfair advantage over other players is considered cheating. This can include but is not limited to client mods to generate items/money easier or faster than otherwise possible, abusing server bugs or using alts/friends to gain more than you would normally gain on a single account. Generating money/items or other assets while AFK is also not allowed. Only the following modifications and clients are allowed:
- Badlion Client
- Lunar Client
- OptiFine
- jellysquid3_'s optimization mods: Phosphor and Sodium (Lithium does not impact client-side performance)
When using resource packs and shaders, all blocks must have full opacity (no transparent blocks) except glass and ice blocks. Full bright resource packs may be used but not recommended for full experience.
The server uses a custom currency called "Points ENAC" represented by the letter "E". When a player enter the server for the first time, 300E are given to her/him. A player can get into debt up to -100E.
Transactions to buy or sell "E" money or other in-game items for real money or other external products are not allowed. This includes Minecraft accounts!
Griefing is destroying or changing another player’s property or buildings without their consent in any protected area. Thus, using TNT, mining blocks or opening chests in a player claimed area is strictly forbidden. Same rules apply for the spawn zone : destroying blocks in such zone is forbidden, however you can use blocks (open chest, take an item from an itemframe, etc.).
If a player have any question or is not sure about being authorized to do something, she/he must ask the staff beforehand. Staff accepts any suggestion that players can make throught the Discord server. All of them will be evaluated and voted if feasible.
Please do not let trees floating in the air! When getting wood from a tree, please take ALL wood blocks from the tree so leaves can despawn.
When you make a creeper explode or when you encounter a creeper hole, please fill it with the corresponding blocks that get removed. And please fill it completly, not only the surface.
There is no need to say or do things to make others feel bad or upset. Trolling, generally defined as provoking a person/situation to get a response, is also not allowed.
PvP is authorized everywhere on the map except inside spawn and claimed areas. In such zones PvP is technically disabled, so trying to kill a player or cause her/him damages will result in no damages at all. Will be considered as harassment the fact of persisting in killing a specific player.
While some minor amount of swearing is allowed, severe or frequent vulgarity, specially when directed at others, is not. Offensive item/mob names, skins, minecraft structures and usernames are not allowed, and you are required to change or remove any if asked by a staff member.
Chat should be family friendly. This means certain subjects are not allowed in chat. These include, but are not limited to, discussions about sex, politics, religion or drugs. If a staff member asks you to move a conversation elsewhere or drop one, you should do so. Talking in details about a school project will be considered as cheating and result in a ban.
