- Incorporate pomodoro technique
- Stick to calendar plan for studying/HW/Mod 1 prework
- Continue to bookmark/collect resources
- Use community workspaces for inspiration/motivation to put in extra work
- Take 5 minute break every ~45 minutes, or when I need it
- Use the break to step outside, quick work out, drink water
- One of my studying weaknesses is trying to "marathon study"--this technique will help to mitigate fatigue and allow for brain resets.
- My calendar includes time for review, studying, HW, and the Mod 1 prework
- The calendar also allows for personal time: running, band practice, and personal commitments
- So far the calendar has been successful, but I can adjust it as my schedule is relatively open
- My resources include the Turing lesson plans, articles on Stackoverflow, and youtube resources on Git
- I will continue to use Google and other resources available to me and continue building a "virtual library" of coding resources.
- When in doubt I will reach out for help on Slack--after exhausting my resources
- I thrive in situations where multiple people are working together or independently
- I plan to study in groups of friends--some developers, some not for motivation and inspiration
- I hope to form closer connections with my classmates and organize an IRL study session
- Overall, adapting to a rigorous study plan will be a lot of work but I'm ready for the challenge.
- I'm very excited to keep working with Ruby, and learning to code more than just
puts "Hello world!" puts "let's get it!"
