Privacy Policy for WRhythm

WRhythm is a third-party streaming client designed to connect to user-provided Subsonic-compatible servers. Your privacy is a priority, and this policy outlines how your data is handled.
1. Data Collection and Usage
No Personal Data Collection: WRhythm does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information, usage statistics, or telemetry data to its developers or any third-party analytics services.
Server Credentials: Your server URL, username, and password are stored locally on your Apple Watch using secure system storage. This information is only used to authenticate with your designated Subsonic server and is never shared.
No Tracking: This app does not use any tracking identifiers or cookies to monitor your activity.
2. Third-Party Servers
User-Provided Infrastructure: WRhythm acts as a gateway to your own self-hosted infrastructure (e.g., Navidrome, Airsonic). All data transmission occurs between the app and the server URL you provide.
External Privacy: Please note that any data handled by your Subsonic server is subject to your own server’s privacy settings and the privacy policy of the server software you have chosen to deploy.
3. Permissions
Network Access: WRhythm requires network permissions solely to stream and download audio content from your Subsonic server.
Background Audio: This app uses background audio permissions to allow music playback while the app is not in the foreground or while the Watch display is off.
4. Security
Encryption: All communications with your server are performed over HTTPS if your server is configured to support it. We strongly recommend using a secure connection to protect your data during transmission.
